 LEINIE LODGE

A relative newcomer to the Summerfest scene, the Leinie Lodge has established itself as one of the better stages on the grounds.

Jammin' at the Leinie Lodge!

The stage features mainly rock and alternative acts, though with less of a hard edge to the music than the nearby Rock Stage. On occasion the Leinie Lodge goes completely off the wall and books artists such as Mojo Nixon or the Elvis-reggae-rock performers Dread Zepplin.

Location:

The Leinie Lodge takes up a large swatch of land about midway between the North and Mid gates to the Summerfest grounds.

Beer:

As you might guess by the name of the stage, Leinenkugel beer flows freely at this stage. If you're going to get a beer at this stage, make an effort to get them from the small beer tent on the east side of the stage (towards the lake when you're facing the stage). There is also a larger beer tent near the main concourse, but it's located right where there's a restriction in the access to the Leinie stage. So what happens on crowded nights? This area gets all tied up with people, and you can't get to the beer tent or near the stage. It's a no-win situation.

Although Leinenkugel has several good beers available at the Leinie Lodge (Original is my favorite, but don't turn down a Red, Northwoods Lager, or a Honey Weiss), what's up with having Berry Weiss on tap? If I wanted that, I'd go get a wine cooler.

Sponsors:

The Leinie Lodge is sponsored by the Leinenkugel Brewing Company, Rock 102 One, and WDJT-TV CBS 58.
