HARLEY-DAVIDSON ROADHOUSE

What had been the old Pabst Showcase has repositioned itself as a crossroads for all types of music at Summerfest. Depending upon the day you might find oldies, country, or rock-and-roll playing at this stage.

The south beer tent at the Harley Davidson Roadhouse. I'll be there at 6:30 pm...

The afternoons are often booked with 50's, 60's and 70's cover bands, inviting the whole crowd to sing along with the tunes.

The Harley-Davidson Roadhouse also has another unique feature that no other stage can offer: The South Harley Beer Tent! Wear a Hawaiian shirt and bring a squirt gun if you decide stop by at 6:30 pm.

Location:

The roadhouse occupies a strategic piece of the 'Fest grounds, halfway between the South Entrance and the Miller Oasis. The main concourse works its way along the far back of the seating area, though you can't get a very good view of bands if you're just walking by since there are beer stands and grandstand bleachers ringing the back of the seating area.

Beer:

A very well laid out series of beer tents ring the entire seating area. You're never more than a few dozen steps from the nearest beer tent. My favorite spots to buy beer at this stage is a small beer just south of the stage (when you're facing the stage, it's to your left). It's located right next to the lost children's area - and that's what makes this such a great beer stand. If you're planning to meet people down at the 'Fest you can have them meet you at the Lost Children's Area... and you can hang out and have some beers while you wait.

But once you've met up with your friends, you'll definitely want to have a beer or two at the South Harley Beer Tent. Show up at 6:30 any night, and say "hi" to the gang. Wear a Hawaiian shirt, and a water pistol comes in handy, too.

Sponsors:

The Roadhouse is sponsored by Harley-Davidson (duh) and Miller Brewing Company.
