Beneath the Storm

Twixt the reason and the rhyme
Lay the fascination beyond time.
Would the fates turn in shame,
Or gather you in their arms to tame?

For in the world's most glorious hour,
Will your heart beat with unheard of power?
And when the storm has quieted in passing
Will the peace bring hope everlasting?

Down falls Destiny in her glory
And life keeps on with it's cylcling story.
And from the wind rising to claim it's own
Will they be left quiet yet not alone?

And 'neath the fury of the storm's loud wake
A whisper speaks of peace that does shake.
And when all has quieted and turned,
Will you continue or hope be spurned?
