Remove
any FrontPage Counters you have put on your pages. They create a .cnt
file, which will be rejected by GeoCities when you try to upload.
GeoCities
only allows 2 levels of Sub-Directories on a Free Homesite. This is all
that is needed for FrontPage, as long as you do not create Sub-Webs (webs within webs).
Directories
that start with _vti_ are not needed at GeoCities, so don't bother
uploading them.
All
upload options (except EZ-Upload) use FTP to upload to GeoCities, but many of the programs
hide the FTP so it is not easy to tell what is going wrong. If you are having problems
connecting, the FTP command line program gives the GeoCities error messages.
If
your Internet Service Provider does not support third party FTP programs, your only
options are EZ-Upload or your ISP's ftp program.
Here are some of the options for uploading to GeoCities, choose which ever works best for you with you Internet Connection:
