My family and I live in
Round Rock, Texas. It's about 20 miles
north of Austin... although in the urban sprawl surrounding us the
only way you can tell you've left Round Rock and entered
Austin is by the "Austin City Limits" sign. And yes, Round Rock IS named
after a rock. Honest - it really is. There is a large round
table-shaped rock in the middle of Brushy Creek. I finally
have a picture of the rock!!!
My little corner of the world consists of my three boys - well, two boys and my husband (which is the same thing, isn't it?) I'm only kidding - I love you, Jim. I spend most of my time coordinating the sports games/practice schedules for my boys. And trying to figure out how to get one to soccer practice at 5:30, and the other to baseball practice at the same time clear on the other side of town! And trying to make sure homework is done, and of course there is religious ed once a week, and they still have hockey until the end of March! This past winter we became full-fledged hockey parents. And we did a lot of travelling to different cities for games and tournaments. Jim and I had to split up most weekends because one of the boys would have games in Houston and the other had to be in Belton... or one had to be in Oklahoma City and the other here in Austin, etc. etc... Well, we all went to Dallas together for one final tournament and we had a great time. It was completely exhausting, and to tell you the truth, the later in the season it gets, the worse the locker rooms smell!!! But I'm going to miss it... It was a great winter. Take a look at some of the weekend highlights.
