[Rosie Note - this really refers to old entries from my paper diary, but maybe it's of some concern to y'all..]

Do you know how I because such a...fascist (I guess that's the term) in elementary and middle schools? I can't even believe some of the stuff written in here!!! I'm glad I never acted on any of it. And when did I become so..so..Christian?! I didn't even understand most of what I was feeding myself. Ewww. The gum thing what quite amusing, though. And the Sailor Moon bit--I wanted to learn about Sailor Moon so that the other swimmers would like me and it ended up as an obsession. It never helped me make any more friends.

All of my writings seem so out of control..I guess that's why they're in here and not on public display. [RN the ones I'm referring to..there's one horrid one I'll never show anyone..] I don't hate school anymore but I dislike French. I'm shy. "Company Y" implied a while ago that they were going to sue me, and then said I was crazy for thinking that (no kidding!!). BAH HUMBUG. Yahoo! ended the CL program, effectively. *sigh* Bye!

Post-January Reflections

I didn't write much during January, so I may be taking snippets from e-mail and letters written during the month and tossing them in here. Also, I thought you might like a bit of background on the old entries I was referring to! Here are a few, in my typical net format..

December 9, 1995

I'm sorry I haven't written. I lost you! I'm writing a book as "Jo Leigh." At our Save The World Club gift exchange, I got Lori's mystery gift. We had to write a story for school. I'm gonna write a letter to the Olden twins. We have a bridge project in science. Gotta go. Bye!

June 10, 1996

How long it's been! I've really needed you! Terrible and wonderful things have happened. I got a B time in the Free; KS accused me of not returning her fins (when I never borrowed them!); went to Clovis; did Swim-a-thon; swam 200 laps; went to Canyone; did Imagination Workshop; bought seeds [RN so that's when I bought those seeds! I'm thinking of giving them away..].

Soon Harriet The Spy will come out in theaters--a month from today! I also started a Band-Aid collection. It has 17 bandaids.

My favorite movie and book is Little Women. Life is good. Tonight is strawberry shortcake night..Stephanie still has her white rabbit, from so long ago. Long, long ago. I saw her in January, along with my other cousins, Kaylee, Robert, and Brad, plus Aunt Karen and Uncle Dave.

We went to Clovis..I am now good friends with a 10-year-old named CG. She is really nice. She is! I'm serious! BZ is treating me better since I've beat him. Anyhow, Mom just said, "Time for bed!" So bye!

October 6, 1996

Hi! Today's Daddy's b-day! I spend too much money. Other interesting things include a small earthquake. The newscaster said it was 3.4 on the Richter scale. It happened yesterday. My brother thinks it's a beforequake, but I doubt it. Today is the day of the Star Trek tribute. It's been 30 years since the first episode. There were only 79 original Star Treks! Well, this show is O.K., but nothing special. They say Star Trek changed the world.

Well, I'm reading Zlata's Diary again. It's an excellent book. Seriously. I love the book!

I can't wait until More Nick on Tuesdays. That's when Alex Mack comes on. That show rules! Hands down!

Do you like Sailor Moon? I know lots of kids who [make fun of] it, but I don't. Chelsea loves it! So do lots of other people. I think it's cute. Don't you? I don't know what I'll be for Halloween yet.

December 8, 1997

Hi. My dad started screaming at me tonight [when I did something wrong]. Do you think I do things wrong on purpose? Well, I don't. OOH!

They increased the megs of GeoPlus members to 15 MB. It was at 10 MB.

So, Mr. S------ [my english teacher] likes my poetry.

Oh, I'm an EnchantedForest Junior Leader. I also applied to be a CL in Tokyo. But if I don't get Tokyo, I'm going to apply in Heartland..
