OA = Opening Act
24 July 1985 in Scaniarinken, Södertälje
MOTÖRHEAD
OA: Road
Me and my older brother went to see Motörhead, I was just 11 years young back then...
So, it was the last concert in icehockey-stadium Scaniarinken ever...BUT, what I recall, it was a loud concert...and, they played my fave song "Killed By Death"...Yeah, Wurzel played with Motörhead these days, he was the new kid on the block...Hmmm...and, I recall a dude coming out on stage, standing on a box and shouting in the microphone for some 10 seconds before leaving stage...*L*...Good show anyways and LOUD...
8 November 1991 in Globen, Stockholm
ALICE COOPER
OA: The Almighty
I went to see Alice with my friend Junky (his chatname)...and, I remember Junky jumping to the roof when Almighty crashed into the stage...no "Hello's" here, just pure Rock'n'Roll, from the start...
Alice had some stage-tricks too...and, it was really cool to see this old kid doing some good old Rock'n'Roll...
30 June 1992 at Sjöhistoriska Muséet, Stockholm
NIRVANA
OA: Teenage Fanclub
Went to concert with Junky...
Teenage Fanclub was a good opening act...I recall the last song as a 10 minute pure rhythm-guitar mania, with some solos, BUT, I liked it and I have no clue what song they played...*L*...
I had the luck to see Nirvana LIVE before Kurt blew his brains out...Kurt was high on amphetamine this evening...I guess his stomach was hurting again...SO, they played some "rare" tunes this evening, such as "Let the money roll right in" and "D7" which was an audience request...and, they had kids from outdoors on the stage for the last 2 songs which was "Smells like teen spirit" and "Territorial Pissings"...

D:A:D
OA: ? (Anybody who knows, mail me)
I saw about 10-15 minutes of the OA, since I got there a little bit late, but, D:A:D kicked good ass, they played a big bunch of their album "Helpyourselfish" and some old classics as well...along with the ultimate showstopper "It's over now"...*shiver*...
Summer 1995 at Telgefestivalen, Södertälje
BRAINPOOL
Me & whoever was along, some friends
They stuck to their set and played songs from both debut "Soda" and their follow-up album...
12 August 1995 at Sjöhistoriska Muséet, Stockholm
NEIL YOUNG & PEARL JAM
OA: NO or ON...(don't remember) the crapiest opening-act I've ever heard...
A really great show, with a vital PJ in the first half of the set as they played songs of their "Mirrorball" album...Neil Young slowed things down quite a bit during his solo-performance (the calm before the storm), playing his acoustic guitar and harmonica and then his piano...and, after that, Neil kicked in an another gear and went FULL FORCE for the reminder of the show, and PJ looked quite "tired" during the second half, only the bass-player could keep up with Neil.
They played a bunch of really great songs this evening, some favorites of mine as well, such as: Act of Love, Downtown, Hey-Hey-My-My, Cortez the Killer and finally Like a Hurricane, where the band got projected towards the backdrop which gave an very cool effect to the song and athmosphere all together along with the noize they were creating.

FOO FIGHTERS
OA: that dog.
that dog. kicked ASS, a really great alternative band, especially since I'm a big fan of Veruca Salt and they sounded very close to the VS sound.
Foo Fighters, with Dave Grohl and Pat Smear, played an solid set with songs of their debut album and B-sides and also a soon to become MTV-hit "My Hero", although, my memory of this show is kind of shady, but, I do remember "Exhausted" since it was the noiziest song of the evening and also one of my faves.

26 June 1996 at Sjöhistoriska Muséet, Stockholm
SEX PISTOLS
OA: Placebo, Sepultura
Me & Jessica
Placebo, didn't see much...was busy buying T-shirts...but, I heard some songs...sounded good...wish I could've seen them too...
Sepultura, Max Cavalera singing for one of the last times in the band...good and aggressive show...really impressive Brazilian hardcore thrashy speedy metal...
Sex Pistols, good and funny show...Rotten throws out the usual "are there any journalists out there?" and "I can't hear you..."...Jones, in his cowboy hat playing killer three-chord songs...Matlock, didn't move too much...and, Cook, a good drummer still...Good show...but weird...

GYLLENE TIDER
OA: Love Olzon, Wilmer X
32000 people in the Stadion, totally AWESOME
Love Olzon, a one-hit wonder band, who had their biggest summer of their life in '96...no memory of this show...
Wilmer X, an old swedish rockband who just keeps going and going, since '78...a really good show, one of the last good shows they put up until all the internal trouble in the band started...which is cleared now...they played all the songs you expect to hear from them, as well as a special performance by Ernst-Hugo Järegård, a swedish poet, that came onstage and read one of Wilmer X's songs as an poetic novel (a song about a Dog), which the band played FULL ON right after the reading was done, really awsome...
Gyllene Tider, Per Gessles (Roxette) original rockband back from '78-'84...reunited and ready to play classic summersongs for the Swedish people...and, they played ALL the songs you wanted to hear, and then some...a solid show all togheter, that ended with fireworks...
6 December 1996 in Globen, Stockholm
KISS
OA: Verve Pipe
Verve Pipe, with their one-hit song "Freshman"...but, they played a really cool cover, doing "Strawberry Fields" by The Beatles...I think they were about to play an Kiss-song as well, I can't remember if they did or not, but. they were talking about doing "Parasite" or "She" or something like that...a really good show, good band...
KISS, The FIRST ORIGINAL reunion tour with Gene, Paul, Ace and Peter to Europe, what else is there to say...they kicked off with "Deuce", and during the first verse on "King of the..." you could see the amplifierwall rising up behind them, awesome...they did every lil trick you've heard about, guitar solos, burning guitars, blood, drum solos, "We love you Stockholm" (Paul, every 2 seconds between the songs)...you know the story already...a SOLID show with EVERYTHING you ever wanted to see, coming true, before your very eyes...

SMASHING PUMPKINS
Me & Stimorol Girl (chat friend)

ELECTRIC BANANA BAND
Me & Junky & Hysa
A "rockband" for children...very popular back in '80-'84...they reunited and did a very popular "outsold" tour...you could see parents (30-40 years old) singing along most of the songs...since they were only kids 20 years back when EBB was big the first time...

SONIC YOUTH
Noizy, very noizy...and, I only recognized some 2-3 songs...they played most of the songs from their "a Thousand Leaves" album...I knew "Sunday" and "Shadow of a Doubt"...but, rest was pure noize-mania...

bob hund
I've just seen the greatest live band in Sweden...and they sure are great...and noizy...
The song "Helgen V.48" was dedicated to all the people who saw the band for the very first time (Me, hehe)...
Comments from show in Swedish & English by singer Thomas Öberg:
"Nu ska vi göra den viktigaste spelningen någonsin, nämligen den för er..."
"Now we're going to make the most important show ever, namely, the one for you..."
"Ni är inte min publik längre, ni är mina små lyckodjur från och med nu..."
"You are not my audience anymore, you are my little lucky puppets from now on..."
Some cool "incidents" at show:
Bas-player Mats Hellquist and guitarist Conny Nimmersjö stod with their foreheads against each other for a minute, and then suddenly gave each other a kiss...*L*...awesome...
In middle of a another song, the band just stood there, with open mouths and looked out in nothing, like zombies...and played one single chord for some 2 minutes time...("Mer än så kan ingen bli" or "The Idiot-song")
They also played Iggy Pops "I wanna be your dog", in Swedish of cuz...awesome too...and noizy...

Orgy had to cancel their show, so, in no-time, the eventholders got hold of the swedish rockband bob hund, and, that's why I went to this show in the first place...
SAHARA HOTNIGHTS
Hmmmm, ok I guess...4 girls in a rockband...from Sweden...nervous...very nervous...

LOUD AS HELL, NOIZY AS HELL...BEST BAND IN SWEDEN!!!
Ended their show doing 2 covers...first one IGGY POPS "I wanna be your dog" in swedish, the second one was a song by THE CRAMPS "Human Fly"...ONE thing was for SURE though, and that's that it was NOIZY as HELL...as they were making as much NOIZE as possible during the grand finale of the songs...and I loved every minute of it...
I saw people WITH earplugs holding their ears at the end, and there I stood, with no plugs, and just enjoyed the noize-mania...
RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS
They did a good funky show too, I liked their sudden improvisations best, and their punkier stuff...They went through their hits in the first 7 songs...and then they just kept on playing things I haven't heard before...
They ended the show by doing a IGGY POP cover as well..."Search & Destroy"...which ended up FLEA going nuts on his bass-guitar, throwing it up in the air and tryin to smash it in to pieces and then he continued pushing down the amplifiers and finally wrecking the drums...*L*...AWESOME...
31 December 1999 in Deep Ellum Live, Dallas, Texas
THE TOADIES
Me and Cinnamon Girl and couple of her friends went to see the Toadies at New Year eve in Dallas...and, they rocked pretty good...we also missed the New Year, cuz, the singer suddenly asked "Has anyone done the countdown yet...? Ok, lets do it now then...10...9...8" and the time was around 0:05, so...*L*...BUT, it was a great show after all...
