INTERNATIONAL SPEECH AND 
TABLE TOPICS CONTEST

Speecom Toastmasters Club will be having its
Club International Speech Contest and Table Topics Contest
on 16 January 2007 (Tuesday), at Sri Damansara Club.

Any club member can participate in the Table Topics Contest.

For the International Speech Contest, participants need
to complete up to speech # 6, before the contest date,
to be eligible to contest.

Timing for participants of:

(a) International Speech Contest: 
4.5 minutes to 7.5 minutes

(b) Table topics contest: 
1.0 minute to 2.5 minutes

Full details of the contests will be e-mailed to club members. 
Please check your emails.

Do come and experience for yourself this enlightening exciting fun filled club event that happens only once a year!!

CELEBRATES  25 YEARS OF SUCCESS!

Speecom Toastmasters Club celebrated it's 
25th Silver Jubilee Anniversary on the 19 Dec 2006.

 It's Simply Amazing Celebrating 25 years....  of Success, Glories & Jubilation....and not Forgetting the Struggles, Failures & Sadness.....of SPEECOM TOASTMASTERS CLUB.

 It's Simply Amazing....that this is the ONLY 2nd Club to celebrate 25 years in Toastmasters in the Klang Valley...& not many in this region.

 It's Simply Amazing....we lost our venue, banner, members...merely 3 1/2 years ago and membership drop to a single digit just 2 1/2 years ago and now we are a healthy and dynamic club with more than 30 members. 

 It's Simply Amazing....past (Sunny, SK, Wei Fong) and present members (including MIA members like Wai Leng & Heng) & posibbly future members were at out 25th Anniversary yesterday
 ....also not forgetting our strong supporter from other clubs like Chau Fong & Janice from TTDI, KL from Money & You and also the famous FISH from DUtama Adv.

 It's Simply Amazing....4 Guys (Roger, Ong, Choo & Yuen Chai) & 4 Gals (Chelsea, Kareen, Sze Leng & Maryn) perform a fabulous Scottish dance despite only taking two hours of dance lesson.

 Overall.....It's A Simply Amazing EVENT......

Joseph & friends - We truly appreciate your kind effort in getting the live band for us! My apology for not able to have a longer session due to time constraint :( , otherwise we would have more fun singing & carolling! 

Roger - We never knew until yesterday that as a Pilot, you can actually dance and lead the dance very well ! TQ for introducing Scottish dance to Speecom, we really enjoyed it very much!

Choo - thanks for printing the agenda, getting the cake & sparkling juice!

Dear Ron and all the Speecomers,

My sincere thanks to Chen Keat who has sent me an invitation to join the celebration and I must say this to all of you: 

Speecomers are simply amazing and wonderful. It was certainly a celebration night with lots of laughter and caramaderie. 

What touches me the most is the sharing by 
Past Presidents: Sunny, Kon and the IPP Kim Cheong. 

The journey of Toastmasters is full of challenges, it is your perseverance and commitment that has enabled SPEECOM to grow gloriously and blossom. So many wonderful moments have been crafted along the 25 years, and I am sure there are more to come for all of you and
the rest of the toastmasters like me. 

My pleasure to know all of you and to be with you. I will come back 
for your regular meeting. (",)

Dear Fish,

I really like your nickname. One kind or rather one of a kind. Ha ha......  See how fast the mind works??

We in Speecom made it through thick and thin in the last 25 years was also in part attributed to individual like you who have never failed to fulfill your call of duty as a Toastmaster when we need your support or presence at our meetings. Like last night, you stayed the course of the whole meeting before we bid goodbye to each other. 

Thank you so much for your presence and your support to the successful Silver Jubilee celebration of Speecom Toastmasters Club last night. 
At least I know who the Fish is now. And she is real.  Ha ha...........

Last but not least, a big thank you to all our ever wonderful 
Speecomers who had made the Silver Jubilee a success. 
Our Madam President is Mighty Proud, I bet!
