BRIEF
HISTORY: Speecom Toastmasters Club
SPEECOM, which
stands for Speech and Communication
was born on 1st December
1981.
It is managed by an elected
executive committee members
headed by a President.
The club members meet in
formal attire at
SRI DAMANSARA CLUB
Lot 23304, Persiaran Perdana,
Bandar Sri Damansara,
52200 Kuala Lumpur
from 7.00pm to 9.30pm on
the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month

SPEECOM is the place
to be as it sets the platform for learning in which every member has the
opportunity to improve his or her communication and leadership skills,
which in turn, cultivates self-confidence and personal growth.
Among the highlights in our
standard Toastmasters Club meeting:

An Invocation session, providing
food for thought. |
|
|
A Table Topics session,
a chance for members to learn to deliver impromptu- speeches. |
|
|
Prepared speeches, based
on projects from the Communication and Leadership manuals or the Advanced
manuals. |
|
|
An evaluation session, during
which each speaker is provided with valuable feedback regarding the strengths
of the speech, as well as areas for further improvements. |
At the end of the meeting, a
critique of the evaluations, and of the meeting as a whole, is done by
a General Evaluator.
