ALERT: 12/19/2005. Laguna Beach. City Officer on private crusade to crack down on noise utilizing a methodology which applies to motor vehicles, yes, but NOT to motorcycles or vehicles over 6000 pounds gross weight.  Fight the ticket, you'll probably win. ALERT: 4/12/2004. Multiple reports from Irvine, near OCHD, Officer stopping riders and confiscating helmets as "evidence", forcing a long walk back to OCHD to purchase a new "DOT Approved" helmet to leave the scene. More details as they become available.
