ARMED ESCORT (Resource Short-event)
Playable on any faction under your control
at the end of the organization phase. Faction may act as an ally (with
no skills) for combat purposes only. Faction's prowess equals its MP
value +2; its body equals its MP value +5. If a strike succeeds against
the faction and the body check is failed, the faction is discarded. This card may
not be duplicated on a given faction. Discard this card at the end of
the site phase or when the faction leaves your control.
Additionally, if
Gates of Morning is in play: All influence attempts against this faction
are made at -4, and Siege cards played on the site of this faction's
company are discarded at the end of the site phase as long as this
faction was not discarded due to combat.

THENCE BY STRANGE ROADS (Resource Short-event)
Playable at the end
of the organization phase on a Wizard moving as a company of one.
As long as the Wizard's destination site is not a Shadow-hold or Dark-hold,
no creature hazards may be played on him, and no specific effect that prevents
action during the site phase (i.e. River, Lost in Free-domains, etc.) can be played.
Discard this card at the end of the site phase.

DO NOT FEAR THE DEAD(Resource Short-event)
Elves in the company on which this card is played may not be targeted by Undead attacks or
by effects, such as corruption checks, brought about by Undead hazards or Undead automatic-attacks.
Discard this card at the end of the site phase.

DOOMED STRIKE(Resource Short-event)
Only playable on a wounded character, and only if this character's
company is facing an attack where the defender chooses the defending
characters. This wounded character takes a strike from the attack
as if the character was tapping to face the strike. If all the
attack's strikes are defeated, the defending player receives
the marshalling points for the creature, if any. Eliminate
this character and discard this card immediately following the
resolution of combat. One item controlled by this character
may be transferred to a non-wounded character in the same company
after combat has been resolved.

I WILL DO THE STINGING(Resource Short-event)
Playable at the end of the organization phase on a character bearing
a usable weapon. Declare a creature type (Animal, Man, Undead, Orc,
etc.) when this card is played and place this card with the character.
For the rest of the turn, the bearer of this card may face any number
of strikes from any number of attacks by the declared creature type.
This card may be tapped to allow the character to remain untapped
against a strike and still gain full prowess. Discard this card at the end of the turn or if
the character is wounded. May not be duplicated on a given company.

THESE WE WILL TAKE (Resource Short-event)
Playable on an untapped Wizard whose company has just defeated an
attack by Mouth of Sauron, Gothmog, or any Nazgul.
Tap the Wizard. You may remove any one minor or major item from
your discard pile and place it with your Wizard. Wizard must make a
corruption check at -1.

INTO THE MOUNTAINS' HEART (Resource Short-event)
Playable on a Dwarf during the organization phase at a Ruins & Lairs,
Shadow-hold, or Dark-hold in the following regions: Angmar, Gundabad,
High Pass, Redhorn Gate, Gap of Isen, Southern Mirkwood, Udun, or
Gorgoroth.
Tap the Dwarf. The Dwarf's company plays as their new site card any
Under-deeps site whose surface site is within the region of the site
they now occupy. Movement and hazards are played as if the company
was traveling from a surface site to its adjacent Under-deeps site.
