| Love of God must blossom forth into love
for one another or it is not true love. A Christian must
be united with Christ in love of all people. Love of all
people is found in fulfillment of duty as well as in
kindness and helpfulness. In the Human Love Window, some traditional symbols express the love of one another. Family Love is depicted by the pelican opening her breast to feed her starving young, and the cross and crown of matrimony. Above the cross and crown, the dove of peace and the olive branch remind us of the ideal, tranquil relationships among people. Love of country and true patriotism is seen in the eagle over the flame. On the very top, the symbol of the United Nation portrays the great attempt of our age for love among nations. Represented in the window are but a few of the many ways in which we, in union with Christ, show love for on another. |
