Stamford V Kerry
Stamford 1-13 Kerry 1-5
The first half was not impressive and Stamford trailed at half time by 2
points. The score was Stamford 0-4 and Kerry 1-3. After the break
following some good work by Brendan Brady operating at midfield and Eric
McDonald at wing half forward, the score was reduced to one point. After
the kickout and a foul on T. McCann, Eric McDonald drew the sides level.
Stamford landed in the drivers seat and took complete control over the game
with Jason Williams, Fergal Heaney, Enda Cox and Paul Rafter fulfilling
their positions in defense. A great goal by Cyrill Carroll midway through
the second half sealed it for Stamford.
