Gaming
I'm not sure what the first game I ever designed was. I recall designing a board game in about 1976 that was meant to simulate the action of professional tennis (this was during the minute-and-a-half that the World Team Tennis league was popular). I remember making a board, writing the rules, and statting out the players so that my own beloved New York Sets (later the New York Apples) would always win. As I recall the game really wasn't very much fun to play (even for me) ... but the process of designing it was fascinating! Here I am, 25 years later, still designing games and thinking that the process is fascinating!
The pages within this section of the Stannex contain all sorts of tid-bits, crunchy-bits, and other sorts of bits associated with my love of and work for hobby games. As this forum develops I'll add roleplaying adventures, peaks into my thoughts on various games I've worked on, and my opinions about the games I play and events I attend.
Give it time. I don't work especially quickly ... but I'll post things as I get them whipped into shape. Or perhaps I'll put them up when they're ready for playtesting. Come back and see.
