Worship at St. Stephen’s

Worship is very important to us at St. Stephen’s.

The worship services are rooted from the traditional Anglican worship service.

Our Worship services:

Sundays: 8am & 10am Holy Eucharist Rite II.

During the 10am Service we have Church School in our “Fellowship Hall”

There are many elements to the worship service at St. Stephen’s where many people help to make the whole experience work.

Acolytes - help the priest with the Eucharist
Lectors - read the lessons appointed for the day
Chalicists - assist in the administering of the Holy Communion
Choir - helps the congregation stay in tune and treats the congregation with special selections that our Music Director has taught them. St. Stephen’s has two choir’s: Adult and Youth.

Acolytes:

According to Webster’s Dictionary, the definition for an acolyte is an altar attendant in public worship.

Lector: (top)

Chalicist: (top)

A person who administers Holy Communion with a Chalice that has wine and water, which has been blessed by a Priest or Bishop at a Holy Eucharist service.

A group of singers in a church.

In our church we have two choirs: Adult and Youth. There are currently 7 Adult choir members and 16 Youth choir members. They train and rehearse with our talented Music Director.
