Where The Arts Galvanize A Community
The Mural Arts Program is world reknown for it's ability to beautify
a cmmunity with striking murals in larger than life size. In Philadelphia
this program is helpig communities in more ways than one with their
artwork and their love.
We had the unprecedented opportunity to have three murals go up at one time and two of them were right here in our park. Here we have our "Guardian Angels" mural that sits across the street from the park. This mural features a dedicated citizen whose love for his community and our park made him a legend in our area. We also have the "Stinger Square" mural on the side of our park building. The entire rest of the building is a pachwork of colorspainted by the residents and children of the community. Our artists Eric and Jay, worked diligently and grew to love our neighborhood after spending the entire summer here with us. Ariel Beirbaum is a member of the mural arts team who also has much love for what she sees going on at our park.
