"We're No.#1"
Stinger Square Day Camp was designated number one in recreation
district 9 this summer. That's because every time our site monitor came to
our site, our children were immersed in projects and crafts. We had arts
and crafts every day where the kids created something. They even created
the banners that we carried to the X games where we were sent as a special
treat for all the number one camps city wide.
Our parents were very involved with our camping experience and went
on all of our trips. We visited museums and places of interest and our
biggest trip to Clementon Park in Mew Jersey.Many of our parents did
projects with the children like face casting, a solar system project, an
energy project and Egyptian art. Our closing event lasted until well after
midnight. We had our closing exercise, a splash party and bar-B-Q and a
party on the back deck. The entire community joined us for the fun. Each
of our children were given gift bags with arts and crafts projects, games
and goodies inside. The year 2002 has proven to be another banner year with top performers
coming to our camp to entertain us.
