BUSTA RHYME

Today's most popular music has to be Rap.
Everyone has heard it and you either love it or you hate it.
For those of you who love it, what is it you love about? Is it the 'phat' beat?

I bet you like the way that person says what on their mind!
                                                                Sometimes it's fast!
                                                                      Sometimes it's slow!
It's all Iambic Pentameter...I bet you didn't know!

Iambic pentameter is a poetic way to express yourself with lines of rhymed words in an unstress/stress form. Let's look at the Sugar Hill Gang's,
"rapper's Delight":

I said a hip hop the hippie the hippie to the hip hip hop,
a you don't stop the rock it to the bang bang boogie,
say up jumped the boogie to the rhythm of the boogie...

The emphasis is place on certain words which are stressed, and followed by words that no as emphasized which are the unstressed words. Now I bet
the Sugar Hill Gang didn't realize that they were  such literary geniuses .
Now Drop Your Own Stupid Rhyme!!
