Driver Information

Driver Responsibility:
1. I agree to HAVE FUN and will not hold the Stratford Nighthawks, Groveton Trailblazers, it's co-sponsors, land owners or race committee liable for
any reason whatsoever. I further agree to abide by the rules governing this race and understand that the Chief Race Marshall has the final decision and
will abide by that decision.

Required Gear:
* Sleds must have a sled bag capable of carrying a dog.
* Drivers will be required to carry fire starter and a knife on their person.
* Drivers must have an operating headlamp in their sled bag or on their person.

Entry Form
Registration Dates and Deadlines:
1. ENTRY DEADLINE: 5pm Wednesday, January 16th 2008.
Entries accepted after this deadline will be assessed a $10 late fee.
2. Pre-registered drivers may change classes without late fee penalty.
3. Pre-registered drivers may withdraw their entry entirely (less NCM membership fee + $2 admin fee) so long as they contact the Secretary by the
above deadline. Withdrawn entries after the deadline thru the drivers meeting will be assessed a $10 admin fee). Pre-registered no shows, will
receive no refund.
4. Bib number assignment will be determined at the mushers meeting. Bib draw will be based on order of entry.
5. Should our event be cancelled, you may see it announced on THIS website by 5pm, Wednesday, January 16, 2008 as well as SDC.
5. A $20 bib deposit will be required.
6. In the event our race is postponed, your monies will be held on account.
If you are unable to attend on the Rain Date, you must request a refund by the Wednesday prior or it will be considered forfitted.
7. In the event our race is completely cancelled, all monies will be returned (less $2 admin fee and NCM membership)
Team Size:
1. All dogs coming over the finish line will be marked. Only marked dogs may participate on Sunday. Drivers may only drop down to one less dog than their class size min. If dropping additional dogs is necessary, the driver may choose to run in the next lower class on Sunday.
Points and Purse:
1. A driver may choose not to run on Sunday. Entry fee is not prorated and such driver is not entitled to any points or purse.
2. We are offering trophies in each class and a small cash purse (TBD) in the larger two classes.
3. Purse pay down is to fourth place.
4. Final position placement will be determined by a combined time of both days.
5. The Race Marshall reserves the right to request any team who takes a signifigant amount to time beyond the average of the top three finishers, to
run on Sunday in the next lower class size.
Conduct:
1. Ski poling must stop if you are running within a teams length of another competitor
2. If asked to pass, you must concede trail to the overtaking team
3. No drafting on the heels of another team unless within what's considered no mans land
