Volunteer
This year, the sled dog race is going to be held for two days. In
order to take some pressure off the regulars, we are seeking additional volunteers.
Here are the various positions we need assistance with:
2 people for road crossing before tunnel (with plastic fencing)
2 people at tunnel
1 person at first Bog Road crossing
2 people at 2nd Bog Road crossing at the bridge (with plastic fencing)
2 people with ATV's at start finish line
1 person free roaming snowmobile on course, 1 to sweep the trail at the end
of each day
1 person to help our RGO coordinate teams getting to the line
Teams will be going out at 10am on Saturday and 9 am on Sunday.
Trail crew at the road crossing will be necessary for 2-4 hours
depending on trail conditions and how long it is taking the teams to
complete the race or at least get past all road crossings. The
tunnel and Bog Road need to be manned until the last team is through those locations.
Are you interested in lending a hand for an hour or so (Sat, Sun or both), or know someone who would like to do so?
