DESCRIPTION

The Model 2410 is a three axis, open frame accelerometer assembly for use in zero to medium frequency instrumentation applications. It contains three Model 1010 digital capacitive accelerometers orthogonally mounted on a phenolic frame.  Overall size is 1.2" x 1.2" x 1.0", weight is 16 grams, and it is easily mounted via two #4 (3mm) screws (not included).

OPERATION

The Model 2410 accelerometer produces three individual TTL/CMOS compatible digital pulse train outputs. The density of pulses (number of pulses per second) in each output is proportional to the orthogonal component of the applied acceleration. The Model 2410 operates with a single +5 volt power supply and requires a clock of 100 kHz to 1 MHz. The three outputs are ratiometric to the clock frequency and independent of the power supply voltage.  The three sensitive axes are perpendicular to the bottom of each of the individual accelerometer packages, with positive acceleration defined as a force pushing on the bottom of the package.

PERFORMANCE

Operating current is three times the current specified on the Model 1010 data sheet. Refer to Silicon Designs' Model 1010 data sheet for all performance data absolute maximum ratings and detailed descriptions of the CLK, CNT, DIR, and DV signals.

Mounts using two #4 or 3mm screws.
Connection is via standard ribbon cable (0.050" centers) and connector (0.100" centers).
