Wanted to do something different than what regular tourists in Turpan is offered. So I took the adventurous way....a farmstay with an Uyghur family!  Initially I was a bit worried as I signed up alone. Opppss...is it safe?
Ironically, the farmstay turned out to be fabulous!  And I ended up making friends with the other travellers who joined the farmstay. I even continue my journey with 2 of them to Kashi or Kashgar, as it's commonly known.
