Midi Files

Unlike wav files that capture the surounding sound waves, midis are actually information files that store the type of insturment used and the notes to be played. This makes them a lot smaller than wav files. A lot of people confuse this fact and think that midis are a compressed wav file and ask where they can get a converter. The truth is, there is no converter(out right now). Most people create midis by getting midi hardware that they plug into their keyboard or guitars and then, into their computer. This is the easiest way to create them, however, there is software out right now. You choose an instrument and then enter the notes in. If you have the sheet music for the paticular song, you can just enter them in, however, if you don't, you'll have to enter them in and test the song out, which can take hours and is very tiring. I would like to thank the people who have created the following files and I would also like to thank Brian for letting me use a couple of Alanis midis that he sequenced. Check out his page for more midi files.
