Local Oppertunities

       There are many musicians "who are not necessarily concerned about the ‘big time,’ but are worried about whether they can make enough money to put bread on the table and gas in their cars"(Weissman 2). These musicians will need to find the right place to work. The major music business centers, Toronto, New York, Los Angeles, and Nashville, are the easiest places to get into the music industry, but you can make a living anywhere else. It’s a good idea to visit your prospective hometown to get a feel of how it is(4). "You should be conscious of the changes that develop over time. Today’s regional hotspot may become tomorrow’s ghost town, or vice versa"(5).
