The Beatles LIVE!. This is the only official compilation of live recordings of The Beatles, issued after a delay of 12 years, and brings the first officially unreleased Beatles material to appear after the breakup. (the second would be the Live At The BBC recordings, 17 years later!). It features segments of three concerts The Beatles made at the Hollywood Bowl (Los Angeles-USA), at Aug 23,1964, and Aug 29/30, 1965.

The performances were taped by Capitol with the intention to make an album, but the project was shelved and resurfaced only in 1977, when stereo mixes were made and edited together in this album.

The tracks are edited in an arbitrary order, not chronological neither the order of the show (for example, Twist And Shout was always the last song of the show, because John could not sing anything after singing it!). Some tracks are also edited between two performances.

The songs from 23 Aug 1964 are: All My Loving, She Loves You, Things We Said Today, Roll Over Beethoven, Boys and Long Tall Sally.
Songs from 29 Aug 1965 (reported on the album notes as from Aug 30) are: Dizzy Miss Lizzy (after the start of the first solo), Ticket To Ride, intro to A Hard Day's Night, Help! (except intro).
Songs from 30 Aug 1965 are: Twist And Shout, She's A Woman, Dizzy Miss Lizzy (up to the first solo), Can't Buy Me Love, A Hard Day's Night (except intro), intro to Help!.

This is the only officially released Beatles material (not considering variations) that was not remastered for CD, being this way unavailable today. However, a segment from the concerts above that was not on this album, the song Baby's In Black from the Aug 30 1965 show (with intro from Aug 29) appeared on the single Real Love (not officially released in Brazil).

Along with the Rarities albums, this album was sold only for a relatively short time and became rare.
