THE LIMITS | Hip hop squelsh, bonk, ting and ping... are probably
the 'in sounds' at your local disco these days but this mind numbing rap
house acid megamix whatever is destroying the art of live music according
to one up and coming Donegal band. "The Limits" find themselves in an ever
increasing battle with disco machines to secure gigs. The advance of these
technotronic terrors is making life on the road, particularly in this county,
not quite the fun and games it used to be. http://homepage.tinet.ie/~leslie/limits.html |
Review of Mindwarp | When I first looked at the jewel-case for Mindwarp
I thought "Great, another disco band." Once again, I was taught
not to judge a work by its cover. http://www.sar.usf.edu/~wilder/dust/info/mindwarp.html |

The band, the LOVELY TREES, was originally conceptualized,

in a local funk/soul type band called Stillife. After having been part of
that bands rise and eventual break down, and after having played with a
few other local funk type bands, Alex decided to start a band whose desitny

Pain | PAIN (p?n) n. 1. A musical group comprised of
six dumb males, one voluptuous female, and a drummer. Lots of horns and
lots of good times. A healthy new dose on the old school punk tip with fresh
new grooves to widen your smile. 2. Plenty of nice melodies, wrapped around
lyrics about kooky kids, lovely girls and people we hate. The guitar is
mean, the bass is lean, and the lead vocals are easily understandable. Pain:
its music with a wang to it. http://www.indieweb.com/pain/index.html |
