The Kdam
The most important event in this "Kdam" was, in my opinion, the performance of Rita, a new singer at that time and the most popular Israeli singer today. Rita performed the song "Shvil Habricha" (The Runaway Lane) while wearing a yellow jacket that she took off while she sang. She only reached fourth place, but she was the talk of the day the next morning, and her song was "The Song of The Year" in the local charts.
Boaz Shar'abi's song, "Halevai" (May It Be), which was at the last position with only 1 point, became one of the greatest hits of the year and Boaz's most popular song.
The winning song, "Yavo Yom" (The Day Will Come), was one of the least notable song, but still somehow managed to win.
