The Kdam
After many years of Kdams held in small teatres or TV studios, the 1991 Kdam was held inside the huge ICC audithuriom (venue of Eurovision Song
Contest 1979 and 1999).
The Kdam was hosted by the famous Israeli weather report man Dani Rup and the TV host Shira Gera.
It presented, as always, some first-class artists like Ilana Avital, her 3rd Kdam appearance,Orna & Moshe Datz, theire 2nd Kdam, Uri Fainman and Adam.
The winning song
The winners this year were a famalier duo in Israel, a husband and his wife, Orna and Moshe Datz, or with theire Eurovision nick name "The Due Datz".
During the years "Kaan" had become one of Israel's most classic and familiar songs, maybe because of it's Israeli oriental style.
The song was also a success in Rome, had a high chance of winning, but finally ended up in the 3rd and respected position.
