The Kdam
The 1992 Kdam was arranged very nicely when each of the 12 songs was presented by a different famous comedian. Among the
presenters were Dodo Topaz, Miki Kam, Rivka Michaeli, Hanoch Rozen, Tzipi Shavit and many others.
The voting process was presented by two IBA news presenters Ronnie Yuval and Noam Aviram.
The songs themself were really of high quality this year, and were performed by many well known artists.
Among them were Anat Atzmon, a popular actress and singer, Dafna Dekel, Uri Fainman, Le'a Loopatin,
and the mediterranian singer Zehava Ben.
A very close competition was held between the first three, and at the end there was only one point difference between each one of them.
The winning song
Dafna Dekel, a well known singer in Israel, had won the 1992 "Kdam" with a beutiful song in the rhythm of the Samba.
Anat Atzmon who almost won the "Kdam" with her song "Hatikva" (The Hope) got very upset about her lost. She found out that
the duration of the winning song exeeded in 17 seconds from the maximum duration of songs as stated in the Eurovision regulations. (the song lasted 3:17 minutes).
Anat thought she could disqualify the winning song, and fly to Sweeden herself, so she sue Dafna Dekel in court. Fortunately the judges
were in Dafna's side and "Ze Rak Sport" eventually flewn to Sweden and 17 seconds of it were cut off.
