Le'a Lupatin

1976
1976 With 'Chocolad Menta Mastik'
1985 - Shir Amelim
1995 With Ofer Levi
L'ea Lupatin had started her musical career in the femanine trio of "Chocolad Menta Mastik", a very succesful trio who had quite a few hits during the 70's, with their biggest one being "Emor Shalom", the Israeli Eurovision entry for 1976.
After the breaking of the group, Le'a had constantly continued trying to reach the Eurovision stage again, but with no much success.
Since 1981, Le'a had replaced Gali Atari's position as the leading singer in the "Milk & Honey" group (winners of Eurovision 1979), and participated with them in the 1981 Kdam with the song "Serenada" (Serenade) reaching the 4th position.
Another try as a solo singer came in 1985 with the song "Shir Amelim" (Workers song) reaching the 5th position.
In 1989, Le'a had joined forces with "Milk & Honey" again, and together they produced the song "Ani Ma'amin" (I believe). It was indeed exactly ten years after the group had won the Eurovision, but it seems like history does not repeat itself and the song reached only the 8th position.
Another attemp as a solo singer took place in 1992, with the song "Hayo Li Halomot" (I had dreams), but the dream was soon over along with the 5th position...
Lupatin's last attemp so far was back in 1995, when she joined the well-known meditereanian Israeli singer Ofer Levi to the upbeat song "Ha'aretz Hamuvtachat" (The promised land) reaching high into the 3rd position - her highest Kdam position.
