BIO
As far as I know, Adam started jamming with James and Co. in late Summer 1998 or so. They practiced quite a bit and it paid off with their 1999 debut on the Riots in the Valley compilation.
They played their first show at the last School Relief Show and rocked the shit out of the crowd. They were quick crowd favorites with quality originals and covers of classic hardcore bands like Bad Brains, 7 Seconds, and Exploited.
By Fall 1999, I joined them on rhythm guitar and back-up vocals. We played a bunch of shows through the fall of 1999 and into the spring of 2000 playing shows Red Lion were frequently organizing at the Sarnia Optimist Hall, adding covers by likes of Warzone, but also crust bands like Doom and Accion Mutante to the set.
In August 2000 a full length release was recorded at Acoustic Image Studios in Sarnia which was to round off the Out of Step legacy as James was scheduled to move to Ohio shortly and was a driving force in the band. This session included a song that James had written only days earlier which only he and Adam knew. This was recorded and has turned out to be one of my favorites. Out of Step ended and the full length was never released. I would very much like to see this released since I've always considered myself a fan of the band before the fact of my own membership in the band.
