He Blew His Mind Out in a Car

All the Clues to Help Unravel Pop Music's Most Notorious Rumor

"Reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated. If I were dead, I'd be the last to know."~Paul McCartney

The untimely demise of "the cute Beatle" Paul McCartney was first suggested by an American college student in a thesis paper. As a local newspaper got hold of the rumor, it began to spread like wild fire across the country. Eventually, it made it's way over to Great Britain and then the world. In Tokyo, Beatles records flew off the shelves and in Amsterdam, phone lines were jammed as Dutch operators tried to place the number of frantic calls. The story turned into mass hysteria as thousands of weeping mourners surrounded Paul's estate in London. In New York, hundreds of fans waited outside one of the television studios and waited for any kind of news. The entire story wasn't put to rest until a magazine journalist found Paul in seclusion at his Scottish farm.

Although Paul's existence has been proven (so THEY say), many believe that the Beatles themselves actually had a hand in placing the numerous clues in the songs and on the album covers. It has been argued that the sheer number of "Paul is dead" clues goes way beyond coincidence. Even today, detectives all over the world continue to delight in figuring out the clues that still remain in the music and in the cover art.

We at the MBI (McCartney Bureau of Investigations) will not close the case of Paul McCartney's death until it is SOLVED! That's why this site was opened up. Because, we need help. What you will find here is all of the clues that appear on the album covers and in the songs. We need the super sleuth in YOU to help us put the pieces together. Although some people are sure that Paul is indeed living and breathing, we at the MBI have yet to be convinced.
