GUS (artist formerly know as "King gus") started at the very young age of five playing his starburst guitar (from Sears) with his father (a drummer). Gus was so fascinated with the skill and rapid movement of his fathers fantastic rhythm that he decided that his father was a god.
GUS was a trombone player in middle school and really wanted to play the drums......after convincing his band instructor that he really DID have the skills to pay the bills...his instructor made him the bass drum player in the OTSEGO MARCHING BAND. GUS then knew he had the whole community....by the balls.....he got 2 weeks after school detention for breaking his
beaters....over a student that said he was a better drummer then him (Jeff Kerr formerly of [Image])
    When GUS finally landed a job at the ripe old age of 14, at a local hardware store in Otsego, he then bought his first guitar.
A white...and black Martin Stinger C model (made right here in Michigan)and an amp that really pissed his parents off....NO PLAYING YOUR GUITAR TILL YOU FINISH YOUR HOMEWORK!!!! yeah right.....
GUS had enough and moved in with his father at age 15....now he could play what he wanted to....when he wanted to. When his dad was at work....GUS played his drums and hoped daddy would not find out. DAD skipped work and GUS skipped school....dad came home and found GUS playing the drums....at 9:00 in the morning. DAD wasn't mad...he was happy and said that he would get him a kit someday.......GUS got a hard on.
    June of 1994 GUS got into a messy little dirt bike wreck that almost ended his drumming career. Torn ACL in his left leg and a broken knee cap in his right leg.......he almost didn't walk.....for a couple weeks....After surgery and removal of 90% or cartilage in his left leg and a plastic cap in his other.....GUS saw the light.....and worked hard so he could pursue his dream.....PLAYING IN A PUNK BAND. EMPTY had a new guitar player...and they really sucked but the local dummies of Delton really dug them. He then joined POSER (a Black Flag based band in Kalamazoo) GUS actually started as the guitar player but couldn't resist the temptation of an empty drum set when the drummer decided that he couldn't show.....so he
became a drummer....and there went the neighborhood.
    GUS' life took a sad turn he became addicted to alcohol and some drugs.....the band broke up and he was bandless....he decided to get some help....he turned to the only person that really knew what was going on. Henry Rollins. Although he didn't know Henry personally...he started reading about him and listening to old Flag albums for advice. When Rollins Band
WEIGHT was brought to his attention....he started going straight.....he fucked up and admitted it. He went to DAILY meetings for narcotics anonymous and alcoholics anonymous. He was able to keep it from his parents and when they found out.....they were happy he was getting help but mad that he was doing it (drugs).
    In 1995 GUS got his first tattoo. Tigger on his right ankle. He said that it hurt so bad that he would never get another one.
In 1996 he found another band....actually it was poser reformed. He also found the urge to get another tattoo. AFTER graduation he got Henry Rollins "SEARCH AND DESTROY" sun on his left arm symbolizing his rough and dumb
choice of life. Henry did the trick though....drug free, even today....and he only drinks when he is with his band mates.....hes done after a couple shots of the all mighty red label POPOV however......"your such a lightweight gus" said Steve at one practice.......and GUS said you don't realize what I've been through.
    GUS moved out of his parents house after graduation and spent a lot oftime with his buddies from high school.......he also spent a lot of time at the tattoo studio.......5 more to be exact. GUS now found something he can spend his money on without being drunk or high. He also got his tongue pierced and to this day Marc wants him to "SUCK IT!!!!" GUS would never do
that.
When GUS and his girlfriend moved out to the happening town of Comstock they moved into a wall less attic of a buddy (the bass player in Kill Whitey)....where the trains are loud and the food sucks.
    Shortly after that GUS and his girlfriend got an apartment together. That was when they decided after 10 LOOOONG years together...it was time for GUS to do the unheard of......ask JEN to marry him.
    In December of 1997 GUS and Jen bought a house together and again GUS tried to get poser back together.....they added a keyboard player and a badass guitar player (his name was GOMEZ ADDAMS.....no shittin'). "Hey guys the cops got called on us again" was the usual response from GUS.
Finally poser broke up and they went their separate ways. The bass player started Kill Whitey and GUS joined IZZAT HYTE (a big old band of lesbians and faggots). When GUS went there the first time he just wanted to rock and roll with a real band......a goth band......ack!!!!!!!!! After a few months GUS got pissed and quit that band too....and went band celibate for almost 6 months...he was in a local music store (store name not said to protect the shitty and unfortunate) and picked up some numbers to call for drummers wanted. Guess what.......the third band he called had practice that night and off he went to Augusta.
    That evening he met up with Marc and Steve (the liar and the pedophile) and yet again got to show his stuff....this time they liked him. Low and behold Gus is still the drummer.....(replacing JOE "shades") and now [Image] has the power and a drummer too!!
After only four days of practice....GUS went off to play his first REAL gig with Marc & Steve. Richland Community Hall with the Phat ass sounds of primordial soup. GUS soon became a Soup junkie and spends a lot of time with Marc AND Steve.
`ON FEB. 19th just a few short days after Valentines day, GUS and JEN brought new meaning of the song Valentines Day Massacre.....they tied the knot......and it WAS about time.
GUS now enjoys spending time with his wife and his band, his four dogs, two cats and playing with his penis.
