JEFF KERR
Jeff was the original drummer in
,
although he never actually played a show with us. He was in the band
before there actually was a band. It was during this time that we
began work on many of the classics (garbage man, vice, passing of time,
etc...). He was spontaneously replaced one day when Chris Brenner
(former bassist) brought in another drummer named Chris Thrasher.
I hadn't spoken to Jeff since (I didn't have his phone number), but it
seems that Gus Cartman (former drummer) went to school with Jeff, which
was weird enough, but on May 13, 1999 Jeff showed up on our door step to
audition to be the new drummer in
.
How's that for a bizarre twist of fate? We had decided to bring him back into the band, since he already knew most of the songs, then I moved, lost his phone number, and haven't talked to him since. Jeff was with us until right
before our first show, his name even appeared in the booklet for the Great
Lakes Music Fest (Detroit MI).
