In a report released yesterday, doctors said that 26-year-old Kevin Richardson, one fifth of pop music sensation Backstreet Boys, was in stable condition and well on his way to recovery.
Last night, the unexpected happened. Richardson began to suffer the symptoms shown by many comatose patients- lack of response to treatments, and an almost death-like appearance. What was feared has, incidentally occured.
Richardson is now in for the fight of his life. While his condition at this time is unstable, doctors say it can go either way. Dr.Peter Lugella, who was in the ER when Richardson was brought in late yesterday, had this statement:

"Kevin is a very strong and healthy young man. This drug should have taken it's effect hours ago,and he should not still be lying in that hospital bed. We've kept, and will continue to keep, him under serious observation until further notice."

The management of Backstreet Boys that consists of Lou Pearlman and Johnny and Donna Wright have refused to let Richardson's band members-Howie Dorough,24; Nick Carter,18;AJ McLean,20; and cousin Brian Littrell,22- comment on any of this at press time. However, we received a written statement from Denise,AJ McLean's mother and the band's tour manager, earlier this afternoon:

"While all four of the boys are equally devastated, they have agreed with their managers not to comment. They ask that the fans pray for Kevin, as they will be doing likewise. What happens now is in God's hands."

Denise, along with Richardson's fellow band members, have kept vigil at the hospital with their families this morning. While Richardson's life hangs by a thread, thousands of teenage girls across the globe are preparing for the worst possible outcome.
