My Alter Egos
Otherwise known as my Characters
I've created this site in homage to the characters I play in Role-Playing games. Most of the games I play are White Wolf and I am a member of the Camarilla Fan Club. I just like White Wolf because of the dark themes and the great character ideas and also because I prefer LARP to tabletop. I'm working on getting all my character histories online and possibly an IC Fic for each one. I just love my characters... I'm such a geek. Oh well, whaddaya gonna do :-)
Live Action
Vampire: The Masqerade, Cam/Anarch
Kyoko Motomoshi, Clan Brujah
My very first LARP character. I love her so much. She's the broken child. She's so tragic. Anywho... she's my first and my favourite. She is a 13 year old Japanese-Canadian girl and her un-life since her horrific embrace has been an absolute hell. The hardships she's endured, from abusive clanmates to several havens either burned down or blown up to constant disrespect from other kindred who consider her a breach of the masquerade and ignore her status. If her nature wasn't survivor, she may have ended her life by now. She is one of those characters that you can tell just by looking at them that they are consumed by sorrow. You can read a short story about her here. Took her to Caine 2K3 and she almost got gacked. That was a bad night. She walked into the gathering and sat down at the Brujah table. 5 minutes later someone told her her life was in danger if she stayed. 5 mins after that she was called into a Prince's meeting. She was judged that she was to be staked and taken home by one of the others from my city. Some asshole player decided he didn't like her so he stole her body out of the guy's car and tried to take her to LA. I got no say in the matter. The guy who was going to take me home used his Astral Projection to find her. The local Brujah risked their lives to come to her aid afterwards and made sure she got home ok. She made some good friends with the local Brujah of London, Ont.
Brighid Cerridwen, Clan Gangrel
My second LARP character. My downtime character, when Kyoko gets too stressed out or depressed to show up at Elysium. Originally I intended her great-grandsire to be of City Gangrel decent (not her grand-sire, not her sire, not her) SO... I submitted it for approval and waited... for 6 months. Then I gave up and made her a normal Cammie (incidently I didn't even have to change her character sheet at all, i only needed to alter a few lines in her history, sigh)
Anyway, she has had a very hard life up to her embrace, parents died when she was little, growing up in a foster home, marrying and having a child but losing them both to a genetic disease. Her sire was one of the few good things that has happened to her, he gave her a beautiful place to stay, on her own private island. I recently retired her, so she can live out her unlife on her island in peace and quiet.
Celeste Saint-Andre, Toreador Ghoul
A new character I made after retiring my Gangrel. She is a ghoul belonging to Elrick of clan Toreador. Besides being the clan primogen, he is also the lead singer and guitarist for the band Vocal Curse. She is so much fun to play because she is so very different from myself. She is decadent, condescending, and callous. Elrick is blind so she always escorts him to any meetings, but the petty bickering and politics bore her so she rudely files her nails while they argue. She and Elrick delight in poking fun at everyone's lack of taste and common sense. This was the first time I've created a ghoul or anything of that line and I picked some interesting merits and flaws such as Sugar Daddy and Clan Weakness. I've had fun with those. This character is a great downtime character for when my my Brujah becomes too stressful, unfortunately I can only play her when my friend is playing his Toreador. I can't play her without her mentor...
Nik "Twitch" Andrews, Caitiff
A new character I created as a fun downtime character. A seriously caffene addicted computer programmer/hacker, I like playing him. One of the quirks I'm loving about this character is that he's pretty gender ambiguous. Looking at him it's hard to tell wether he's a guy or a girl. Looking at Twitch closely you would notice that he's fairly flat chested, has no hips, smallish shoulders, no facial hair, kind of scrawny, recently shaved head... no really distinguishing male or female characteristics. He kind of looks like a combo of Mouse from the Matrix and Jack from Pitch Black. However, those who look very closely and pay close attention might notice no adam's apple. You can read a short story written by him during the middle a game here.
Vampire: The Masqerade, Sabbat
Alexandra Hall, Toreador-Antitrubu
A short lived char in Halifax's short lived Sabbat venue. A former student at the local Art College and huge fan of the artist H.R. Giger. Her goals were simple: Step 1 - butter up to the Tzimisce. Step 2 - learn Vicissitude. Step 3 - learn Horrid Form and *BE* the alien. Oh it was going to be sweeeet.
Werewolf: The Apocalypse
Claudia aka "Preaches-With-Wisdom", Stargazer Galliard
Started off as a short-lived tabletop character, when the LARP venue opened I transferred her over, but I really should have made her a theurge. But I like her she's great and getting even more tragic by the week. Besides being dubbed a "jack-of-all-auspices" she is also taking care of a metis cub for the pack. She's got so many issues that nobody knows about and she's not planning on divulging any information to her soon-to-be packmates either. First is the fact that nobody knows she's a Stargazer, nobody knows anything about her, nobody even knows her last name! Her current caring for the metis cub is slowly becoming an overprotective obsession, and on top of that she thinks that she is the last Stargazer in the world.
Cody "Tsunami" Reed, Black Fury Ragabash
When I eventually lost my Stargazer I made a Black Fury. I got the idea for her when I found a really kew wig and hat at the local San Fransisco store. It had a ton of braided dreads. I liked the wig so much I bought it and was inspired to create Tsunami. She was from Bermuda and was visiting Nova Scotia to watch after her kinfolk sister who was attending Mount Saint Vincent University. She is a water dog, she loves to swim, loves to surf, feels really at home in the water. Her right of passage was a surfing contest during a tropical storm, needless to say she won and the spirits named her Tsunami (she claims that it is not just for her surfing performance but also for the fact that she is a force of nature). Very laid back, very sneaky, very fun. She's a slick l'il bitch. Took her to Caine 2K4 and whooped the ass of a nasty fire elemental that the ahrouns were having getting themselves burnt to crisps trying to defeat. Didn't get a scratch. That was fun.
Mage: The Ascension
Sabrina Gideon, Verbena
She is kind of the tomboy next door. She grew up literally across the street from Kedjimkujik National Park and spent most of her time either in the woods of the park or taking care of her mother, who was very ill and had been for a long time. A small mishap early one spring caused her awakening, while crossing a log bridge she had crossed many times before she slipped on an icy patch and fell into the Mersey River. The recent thaw had made the river much deeper and faster than it normally and her heavy winter clothing made swimming impossible. She went under. She was cold and was beginning to lose consciousness. Then she awoke. She saw a low hanging branch up ahead and knew she could make it bend low enough for her to reach. As she neared the branch she saw it bend down into the water. She felt the branch wrap around her waist and lift her out of the water. The branch gently placed her on the ground in a little clearing. Sabrina could feel the energy coming from the clearing and through the treetops she saw a beam of blue shimmering light come down and encircle her. It warmed her and she knew that it was her avatar. When she returned home, soaking wet and half frozen she tole her mother everything that had happened. She expected her mom to freak out or tell her she was imagining things but she just nodded with a smile on her face. It was then she told Sabrina that she just had her awakening and that she was a Mage. She told Sabrina that she was also a Mage of the Verbena tradition.
Changeling: The Dreaming
Firiona Vie, Ghille Dhu
Her mortal seeming is a 19 year old girl but her fae seeming is a 6 year old girl made of flowers and other plants. She works as a life guard at Kedjimkujik National Park during the day and at night hangs out with her best friend in the whole world, her sparrow Eric. She hates the city with a passion. It's dirty and smelly and disgusting and there are hardly any trees. Too much concrete and glass. Also people stare at her a lot because of her eyes and people generally feel very uneasy around her.
Wraith: The Oblivion
Claire Voyant, Grim Legion
I like Claire. She used to be in a punk/metal band called Audible Cage, that is until her boyfriend, the drummer, beat her to death. Now she is a member of the Last Cohort. She is not adjusting to the Shadowlands well at all. Her shadow is particularly nasty, it is her boyfriend. She only has one trick to shutting him up, to sing loud enough to drown him out. In retaliation her shadow has taken to showing her images from other people's shadows of what they would like to do to her, for example turning her into a bead on an abacus. Oh, if only she had her guitar... You can read a short story about her here.
Tabletop
Bastet
Redclaw, Pumonca
I love my Bastet. She is so much fun to play. Feline born and inventor of the brawl specialty "fury swipes." Easily identifiable by her quirk of referring to herself solely in third person. Here's a picture of her.
Vampire: The Dark Ages
Eve, Clan Malkavian
The 7 year old Malkavian oracle, a concept I hope to one day be able to play in LARP, but yeah she'd get killed so fast.
Hunter
Maya Jade, Avenger
A kickboxing/Muy Thai instructor at the local Y. Got sucked into a freakish nightmare world that was plaguing a town. Along with a security guard and a local gang banger, finally broke the evil spell that had the town in it's grip before more people died of fright. Now she finds out she's a hunter and has Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and *severe* anger management issues. She takes her wrath out on anything supernatural, anything that keeps her from leading a normal life.
Technocracy
Dr. Mia Hanson, Progenitor
Star Wars
Paladia Moor, the "sensible" human scout
Advanced Dungeons & Dragons
Nala, Wemic
GURPS
Mevv Starhawk, Winged Folk
