Over the years we have toured five continents visng the U.S.A.,Southern Africa, Egypt, Morocco, different countries in Western Europe, South America and South East Asia. Our aim is to share our experiences with other touring cyclists. We have found information from others cyclists very helpful in planning our tours. We hope others will find our notes useful. 2000 Egypt and Jordan
An account of the trip from Cairo to Luxor
2000 Tour of the French Pyrenees
On this tour we cycled when we could along the classic route from the west to the east of the Pyrenees. We managed to reach the top of a number of the passes of Le Tour de France
2001 South East Asia Tour
We flew to Bangkok and cycled north to the Mekong River crossing into Vientiane the capitel of Laos. From there we cycled south and then east to the Vietnam border. In Vietnam we cycled to the Coast and then south to Saigon. We toured the Mekong delta for a few days. The tandem was loaded onto a train for Hanoi where we cycled north into the mountains near the Chinese border.
2001 Ireland Tour
We cycled from Donegal in the north to Rosslare in the south east enjoying the beauty and peace of the Irish countryside and much of the wonderful coastline.
2002 Tour in Eastern Europe Tour
We flew to Munich, Germany and biked east to the Danube at Passau. Our tour took us down the Danube to Vienna, then south to Hungary. We eventually joined the Danube again at Budapest and then crossed over into the Slovak republic. From there we proceeded to the Czech republic and back to Munich.
