In its initial stage, TAPAS
offers training in Bharathanatyam, Carnatic Vocal, Art & Painting,
Carnatic Keyboard, Carnatic Violin, Veena, Mridangam and Ghatam. In the
near future, TAPAS also wishes to Carnatic Flute and Yoga to
its curriculum. Every discipline has five levels of education and
certification, namely, PRAADHVA (The Beginning), PRABODH (The Awakening), PAATHAKA (The Recital), PRAYOGI (The Practice) and PRAAJNYA (The Expertise). |

Every level contains three
aspects of learning, say, Theory, Training and Activities. Every care is taken to impart
theoretical knowledge of the respective subjects since theory is the
foundation for any sishya’s travel towards expertise. Also various activities are
designed and are embedded in the curriculum to give the siahyas a 360
degree training and knowledge on the specific chosen subject. |
