1987

Caroline and Ridge are to be married, but the wedding is cancelled due to Ridge's infidelity. Shortly after Caroline is raped and feels she is no longer worthy of marrying Ridge. Thorne stands by her through the ordeal and they wed later on. Brooke seeks permission from her friend Carolinen to date Ridge. She gets it and they become a couple. Stephanie hires Clarke Garrison to date Kristen out of fear that her daugher is frigid.

1988

Stephanie reveals to Eric that their daughter Angela, whom he thought was stillborn is still alive, but only after Eric expressed concern that she disappeard a couple of times a week without telling where she went. Beth and Steven move to Paris due to Stephanie's manipulations and desire to get rid of Beth whom is a rival for Eric's affection. Margo gives birth to Clarke's son. Clarke who is more interested in Kristen is less than thrilled. Thorne shoots Ridge in the head under the influence of alcohol and sleeping pills. This because he finds out that his brother slept with Caroline.

1989

Sally blackmails Clarke into stealing Forrester designs. Stephanie finds out that Angela, her daughter is really dead and the girl they know as Angela is an imposter. Brooke loses hers and Ridge's baby and the weddingplans are put on hold. Margo marries Bill Spencer who vows to take care of Clarke's son as if he were is own. Jeff Trachta takes over the role as Thorne Forrester. Spectra and Forrester share the runway on the Queeen Mary due to Sally's sneaky ways. Thorne and Macy meet. Caroline divorces Thorne when she realizes she never really stopped loving Ridge.

1990

Brooke and Caroline put Ridge to the test, They make him choose between them once and for all. Brooke is devastated when Ridge chooses Caroline and weds her. Caroline dies six months later from leukemia. Clarke and Kristen are divorced, and Clarke marries Sally in hopes of gaining interest in Spectra Fashions. Hunter Tylo joins the show as Dr Taylor Hayes, the obstetrician who diagnoses Caroline with leukemia. She then councels Ridge after losing Caroline. Brooke is involved with Eric and after believing that Eric does not love her decide to have an abortion of the baby she's carrying, but Eric stops her in the nick of time. Macy and Thorne marry each other much to Stephanie's dismay.

1991

Eric and Brooke get married after he finds her in Paris, very close to having an abortion. Their ceremony is a fairytale wedding and the honeymoon is wonderful with horseback riding in the desert and other very romantic locations. Stephanie has a mild stroke which causes her to drive into the not so rich parts of the city and she loses her memory. This puts her up with the homeless where she gets to know Ruthanne and Adam. Brooke and Ridge make love in the lab after making the BeLieF formula, the wrinkle free treatment for cotton and linnen cloth. Jake discovers that he's been sexually abused but not by his father but his uncle. Felicia and Macy are very supportive and Thorne suspects Macy is having an affair with another man. Joanna Johnson returns to play Caroline's long lost twinsister Karen. However she is not aware of this fact and her "mother" has christened her Faith.

1992

Ridge and Brooke are determined to get back together, but when Eric saves Eric Jr from being killed by an accident. In the accident Eric takes the impact of the bookshelf that nearly falls over Eric Jr. This makes Eric blind and Ridge spots Brooke and Eric together at the hospital. He realizes they are a family and cannot break them up. So insted he courts Taylor and asks her to marry him. They get married. At the same time Brooke discovers she is pregnant.  Sally dumps Clarke when she uncoveres he's been unfaithful. Sheila comes to town and gets a job at the Forrester's as the company nurse. Felicia and Zach leave town. Darla starts working at Forrester as Camille to get hold of Forrester designs. Brooke gives birth to Bridget in the Big Bear Cabin with the help of Ridge and Taylor who guides them through the delivery over the cellphone.

1993

Sheila tries to make sure that the baby turns out to be Ridge's but Mike, the security guard mixes them up. Thus noone knows what the tests may reveal. But they turn out to say that Bridget's father is Ridge. But Ridge stays with Taylor nonetheless. Brooke finds out that the Forrester are trying to trick her out of her rights to the BeLieF formula and she ends up getting control of the Forresters with the help of Connor Davies. Eric marries Sheila, not knowing any of her violent past. Macy becomes an alcoholic. Scott dies in the presence of both Sheila and Lauren. He makes Lauren vow not to reveal Sheila's past to anyone. Sally and Stephanie are both in love with Taylor's father Jack Hamilton.

1994

Taylor's and Ridge's marriage is on the rocks. Taylor seeks help and advice from her old mentor James who has more than friendly feelings for her. They end up at the cabin in Big Bear during an earthquake in the middle of the winter. Taylor makes sure James won't have to die a virgin. Shortly thereafter Taylor dies in a planecrash and the letter she wrote to Ridge explaining what she had done is intercepted by Stephanie and forgotten. Ridge, not knowing that Taylor is alive, marries Brooke and they have a very happy marriage. Karen leaves town. Anthony designs the Grand Diva Collection for Spectra fashions. jessica Forrester, Eric's niece come to live with the Forresters. Dylan Neal becomes Jessica's boyfriend, which Stephanie really doesn't like. Taylor marries the prince that saved her life, Omar, full well remembering that she is married to Ridge. She is taking care of a few orphans in Morrocco who look upon her as their mother.

1995

Ridge has an accident which renders him blind. Anthony is revealed to have killed Ivana, and shoots Sally. Macy tries to protect her mom and Anthony goes to jail. Taylor returns because she finds out through James that her father had a heartattack. She leaves Morocco with the help of a servant, and goes to the hospital disguised as a volonteer. She becomes friends with Ridge who doesn't recognize her due to his blindness. But when she reveals that she is alive, Ridge is stunned and very happy, but he still chooses to divorce her to be able to marry Brooke all over again. Sheila holds James hostage. Maggie comes to town to spend time with her daughter Jessica. She meets and falls in love with the young Dylan, not knowing he's her daughter's boyfriend.  Thorne and Macy marry each other again. Eric manages to convince Sally that he loves her and she gives up some stolen Forrester designs after he proposes to her.

1996

A mysterious letter arrives at Brooke's home. It claims that she tampered with the paternity tests. Another test is taken and Eric is revealed to be Bridget's father. This causes a breach in Brooke's and Ridge's relationship. But they reunite in Barbados after Brooke's nervous breakdown. Dylan strips at a club to get money for his college studies. Michael Fox who portrayed Saul, dies. A memorial is held for him on the show. Sly rapes Jessica and later dies in a fire meant to kill her and Jasmine. Dylan saves them. Ridge spots Brooke and Grant kissing at the Cabin in Big Bear. He doesn't confront Brooke. Instead he proposes to Taylor on the runway. She accepts his wedding proposal wearing Brooke's gown and ring. Sheila becomes pregnant by James. He makes love to her when he is drunk. Maggie and James marry. Jeff Trachta is replaced as Thorne by Winsor Harmon. Claudia, a refugee, gets a job at Forrester through the help of Thorne. Macy is jealous and this causes the breach in their marriage that eventually lead to a divorce. Thorne falls in love with Taylor. Brooke makes Grant CEO of Forrester. The atmosphere in the company is almost intolerable.

1997

Brooke and Grant wed on a boat at sea. But the captain isn't a real captain and isn't authorized to wed people. Grant finds out but tries to hide it from Brooke. But Clarke finds out and tells Thorne who has to promise him a job at Forrester in return for this information. Thorne tells Brooke and the marriage is ended. Brooke refuses to remarry Grant and he is hurt and angry. Taylor is in a fire and get burnt. Rick shoots Grant and Ridge takes the blame. Taylor seeks comfort with Thorne and he proposes to her. She asks him to wait. Give her more time. Eric falls for Lauren. Stephanie tries to make Thorne fall for Claudia to get her away from Taylor whom she wants for Ridge. Ridge proposes to Brooke at Lake Como. She accepts.

1998

Taylor has a high risk pregnancy and Thorne and Brooke and Taylor hide the fact that the baby belongs to Ridge. Taylor tries to tell Ridge but her efforts are in vain since Thorne intercepts her messages or refuse to relay her messages to Ridge. And on the day of Brooke and Ridge's wedding she gives birth to Thomas.   Brooke loses her baby and everyone thinks she faked the pregnancy. Macy weds Grant. Thorne discovers he still has feelings for his exwife Macy.
