The three women in Ridge's life have been  Caroline Spencer. The virginlike woman who believed in getting married before becoming sexually involved with anyone. Ridge knew that the only way he could get Caroline was if he were to marry her. So he proposed. But only a few days before the big day. Ridge fell back into his old habits and had some fun with an old flame. Caroline's father was very much opposed to the marriage so he had Ridge followed by a private detective. On the day of thier marriage Caroline found out about Ridge's infidelity. She tried to go through with the wedding but couldn't. She fainted during the ceremony and was rushed to hospital.

Caroline decided not to marry Ridge. She thought he didn't really want to committ to her. Finally though she was warming up to Ridge and was more or less deteremined to renew their relationship when she was raped. Caroline felt she had been destroyed as a woman and asked Ridge to move on with his life.

Caroline befriended Brooke Logan a young woman who worked at the hospital. They became very close and Caroline ended up staying at the Logan residence to heal after her traumatic experience. During this time Thorne Forrester (Ridge's younger brother) was a great support for Caroline and she started to have feelings for him. Brooke on the other hand had taken an interest in Ridge and asked her friend if she could date him. Caroline reluctantly agreed.

and tries to convince her to tell Ridge the bad news.

This brought on a long history of rivalry between Brooke and Caroline and Ridge and Thorrne. But eventually Ridge and Caroline married. They had only been married for about half a year when Caroline discovered that she had a rare, very aggressive form of Leukemia. She tried to hide this fact from her husband but he eventually found out and their last moments together were very emotional and very heartbreaking.

During her illness, Caroline was treated by a physician named Taylor Hayes. Taylor also supported Ridge in his troubled times after Caroline's death. As did Brooke, whom at the time was married to Ridge's father Eric.

Brooke though eventually admitted to herself that she still had very strong feelings for Ridge and decided to divorce Eric. But Ridge eventually decided that he couldn't do that to his father and chose to marry Taylor Hayes instead. The young, very beautiful doctor that Ridge had become really close to during his mourning for Caroline.

Brooke was devastated, she had just found out she was pregnant with Ridge's baby. But she was too late to stop the wedding. So Ridge and Taylor married and lived happily together for a couple of years until Taylor went off to a seminar in the middle east. Her plane crashed and she was persumed dead. Brooke was a great support to Ridge during this time. He was devastated. This was the second wife he had lost. Women that he both truly cared for. But finally Taylor came back "from the dead". It was revealed that she had been attacked and robbed at an airport and never made it back to the flight which had crashed. Thus she survived and a Morroccon prince found her and nursed her back to health. Unfortunately she was suffering from amnesia. Didn't remember who she was or that she was married to Ridge. But finally she was tracked down by her friend James Warwick and eventually returned to Los Angeles to her sick father.

Ridge found out and his marriage to Brooke was deemed invalid in court. He then chose to divorce Taylor to remarry Brooke, but the paternity issue of his daughter Bridget was questioned and they found out that she in reality was Eric's. This made Ridge very upset and he left Brooke to "think things through", leaving Brooke in a really bad emotional state. So bad in fact that she suffered a nervous breakdown and disappeared. Ridge, who by then, had come to terms with the fact that Bridget wasn't his went on a search for his loved one. Finally he found Brooke in Barbados and brought her back to Los Angeles and her children.

suffering from amnesia and stealing food to survive.

Brooke then asked Ridge to wait. To let Bridget adjust to the fact that Eric was her father. She asked Ridge for time but he was upset and wanted them to get married right away. When Brooke refused to give in to his wishes he left for Paris. Left when Brooke was in a bad emotional state. She found comfort and friendship in Grant Chambers. The new desigener at Forrester Creations. Unfortunately Stephanie found out and told Ridge. Ridge caught them kissing and instead of proposing to Brooke as he intended to do he asked Taylor to marry him instead in front of the entire fashion world.

Taylor said yes, but was concerned that Ridge was asking her to marry him on the rebound. So she gave him time. During this time Brooke did everything she could to win Ridge back. Used rather ugly methods in fact. But he wouldn't give in. When Brooke threatened to marry Grant instead Ridge didn't seem to care. But on the day of their wedding he tried to stop it but was too late. Taylor found out and was devastated. She refused to marry him and Ridge vowed to treat her better and that he would win her back. Taylor finally succumed to him, but on the night that he was about to propose he found out that Brooke was about to sign over her shares of Forrester Creations on Grant, who by this time had become persona non grata at Forrester. So he was late.

Taylor drank too much and ended up in a fire at her house that nearly killed her. But Thorne was in time to save her.

At the same time Grant was shot by someone and it didn't look good for Ridge. Eventually Grant revealed to Brooke that it was Rick who shot her. She told Ridge and he took the blame for her son. Taylor and Ridge took a heartfelt and very romantic and very physical farewell to each other before Ridge was imprisoned.  He then encouraged Taylor to go on with her life and marry someone else. She got involved with Thorne but had a very hard time forgetting Ridge. But when Ridge came out of jail she and Thorne was a couple. They didn't get the chance to talk though they both wanted to get in touch with each other, they never did.

Ridge thought Taylor had fallen for Thorne. Taylor on her hand though Ridge had fallen back in love (or rather never fallen out of love) with Brooke. And when she found out she was pregnant with Ridge's baby, she was about to tell him but found Ridge in Brooke's bed. (He was drunk and didn't make love to Brooke, but Taylor didn't know that)

Upon this followed an ugly story with Taylor having a high risk pregnancy which confined her to bed. Thorne cared for her and kept Ridge away from her. Brooke on her hand did what she could to get Ridge back into her life. She eventually succeeded and on the day that Ridge proposed to her she found out that Taylor's baby was in fact Ridge's, not Thorne's as she had believed until that moment.

Brooke tried to tell Ridge but he wouldn't listen So they eventually got married while Ridge still didn't know Taylor's baby was his. Brooke knew however and tried to tell him once or twice but he always managed to talk her away from the subject.

When Ridge finally found out he felt betrayed by both women. But eventually forgave them both. But he decided to have his marriage to Brooke annulled. She refused and this is where we stand now. Ridge wants to go back to Taylor and make a life for them and their son. But he claims to still love Brooke and that he's doing it for his son only...

Taylor and Ridge have yet again gotten married and Brooke has vowed to go on with her life without Ridge. Ridge and Taylor's marriage is valid and legal according to Soap Opera Digest, so let's see what lies ahead. Marital bliss.. perhaps?

Seems the marital bliss is shortlived.. Taylor seems to have a roaming eye. Or at least she seems rather taken aback by her new working mate Pierce Peterson. He is positively smitten by Taylor. If she is interested other than proffessionally is still an open question. Ridge however is sweating... and that in itself is a good thing.

Brooke too has been out on a date a couple fo times with mr Pierce. I hope this doesn't mean that there's a new triangle involving Brooke/Taylor/Pierce and perhaps Ridge as well.. sigh.
