Yes, it has finally happened. I've gotten enough time on the 'Net to create a page devoted to the "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" comic book. This is a GREAT idea!!! It was created by the creator of the series, (the Almighty Joss Whedon), and is under the "Dark Horse" label. The first issue, "Wu Tang Fang" came out September 98, and I the Faithful Willow Fan that I am bought it for a mere $4.55 at the greatest store in all of Regina, "Tramp's". (Well, technically my sister bought the comic book FOR me, but hey, that's a minor detail). The first issue involves all the characters from the show: Buffy, Willow, Xander, Oz, Cordy, and Giles. Sorry for you vamp fans, there's no Angel, Dru, or Spike in this edition. Storyline goes like this: Buffy, Will, and Xander are going to the Bronze as usual, and out of the blue some guy with a mushroom hat comes into the alley with a whole bunch of vamps that Buffy slays, with the exception of the Mushroom Guy. Later on, Xander, (feeling inferior), takes a karate class and gets the crap kicked out of him by his karate teacher. Cordy heals his wounds, *tee hee*. But something happens to the karate teacher, Mushroom Guy the prime suspect! Will and the Slayerettes take the job of getting info on the Mushroom Guy and find out he's some ancient vamp! *woo-ee-oo* So, Xand is in his karate class and Mushroom Guy attacks one of the warriors. Mushroom Guy reveals his face and he's a cross between a dog and a vamp. He's pretty cool though, in my opinion. Buffy, of course, comes and kicks butt, restoring the Hellmouth to a less hellish state!!! Xander and Buff share a joke or two about Buffy doing the slaying and Xander doing the wisecracks and all is well. A lovely premise and I think it has a lot of promise. There are some neato keeno interviews with Joss and some other people on the Dark Horse site. Also, it has some pics too! Some of these are included on this page!!! The drawings are very well done I think. Buff and Will look very good, (Will naturally looks good though). Xander looks sort of like Nicky and Cordelia looks like she's about thirty. But again, that's just my opinion. Oz looks NOTHING like Seth Green, but hey, that's just my opinion. (In case you didn't notice, I'm trying NOT to be sued by the GREAT COMPANY Dark Horse).
