Alyson Hannigan was born on March 24, 1974 in Washington, DC. Currently
she resides in Los Angeles. The City of Angels, (fitting, huh?) The
acting bug bit Alyson when she was a wee toddler at age five, when she
started to do commercials. When she was a child she spelled her name
Allison because she wanted one of those children's liscence plates
with her name on it, and she couldn't find one with Alyson on it. As
she grew up, Aly had recurring roles in such TV shows as "Almost Home,
(a spin-off of "The Torkelsons), and "Free Spirit", (ABC 1989-90). She
played Dan Akroyd's daughter, Jessie in "My Stepmother Is An Alien."
When she was in high school, Alyson says she was nothing like Willow,
in fact she was really depressed, because she didn't like her school
and just wanted to get out. She has also acted in "Picket Fences",
"Roseanne" and "Touched By An Angel." She has appeared in TV movies
like, "For My Daughter's Honour", "The Stranger Beside Me" and "Switched
At Birth." She landed "Buffy" four years ago, and has been a main
character since. She also appeared as Lucy in "Dead Man on Campus" and in
"American Pie", known as one of the funniest movies of last summer!
