Carl quickly opens the box. He finds a small, brown paper wrapped jewel box inside, which he opens. His fingers latch onto a gold chain, which he pulls from the box.

CARL
Someone is sending me jewelry?

He looks at the chain, which also has a pendant hanging from it in the shape of a key.

CARL
What in the world? (He takes the folded piece of paper from the box and opens it) 'This is the key to my fortune'. (Holding the pendant in front of his face, he folds the paper to his chest.) You hold a secret for me, don't you? What is it that I'm supposed to be seeing here?
