Okay, so you know that there are a lot of places on the Internet where you can find out what's going on in the wonderfully imaginative world of Dawson's Creek. But do you know the places where the news comes out first? Where all of us insane web site owners go to find out the latest scoops? If you don't, then I'm about to tell you.
One of the best places to go find out stuff is the Wanda Chat at E! Online. This chat goes on every Monday at 6pm Eastern. All you've got to do is sign-up for and E! Online membership (which is 100% free) and then you're set. And not only do you get to talk to the all knowing Wanda, but you will get to chat with her many celeberty guests as well (one of which has been Dawson's Creek's very own Josh Jackson. Also, Wanda has a column that she does every Friday (unless she is on a vvery rare vacation) and it is also quite informative.
The best Dawson's Creek news site on the Internet is Dawson's Creek Headlines. I know that I've said it before, but I can't tell you too many times in this case. This site gets EVERYTHING from scoops to articles to anything else you can imagine. It is updated constantly. Dawson's Creek Headlines is about the only reason I haven't had a nervous breakdown while waiting for new episodes of DC to start. If you are a true DC fan, you must go there.
The Official Dawson's Creek site is pretty darn good for an official site. But since this is an article about DC news sites, I'll tell you where you can find the best news on the site. Go to the main page and scroll down all the way to the bottom. You will see a place where you can sign up to be on a mailing list. This mailing list is really good. It sends you links to exclusive articles and interviews with the Dawson's Creek cast. Quite enjoyable.
The Columbia-Tristar Dawson's Creek Site really isn't that informative
-I found the following summary for James Van Der Beek's new movie, "Varsity Blues", at the Internet Movie Database:
In small-town Texas, high school football is a religion. The head coach is deified, as long as the team is winning and 17-year-old schoolboys carry the hopes of an entire community onto the gridiron every Friday night. In his 35th year as head coach, Bud Kilmer (Jon Voight) is trying to lead his West Canaan Coyotes to their 23rd division title. When star quarterback Lance Harbor (Paul Walker) suffers an injury, the Coyotes are forced to regroup under the questionable leadership of John Moxon (James Van Der Beek), a second-string quarterback with a slightly irreverent approach to the game. "Varsity Blues" explores our obsession with sports and how teenage athletes respond to the extraordinary pressures places on them.
I also found a short summary for James's other movie, "Mystrey Alaska", at the Internet Movie Database.
This comedy is about the residents of a small town who get over-excited when their hockey team gets chosen to host a televised event.
-Well, this week was pretty eventful in the way of Dawson's news. The big stuff is on the Tamara front, where I have found out that Tamara wil return PREGNANT and, as a result of the new open relationship that Mr. and Mrs. Leery will have (in open, I mean REALLY open), Tamara and Mr. Leery will become involved. Now how involed, I'm not yet aware of, but they will be going out. I have also learned that Mrs. Leery will get back with good ole' Anchorman Bob. Dawson, of course, will be happily oblivious for quite some time. The first show of the year is titled "Crossroads". In it, we will meet Jack and Andie, and Joey will tell Dawson that she is not going to France (like we thought she would anyway). Jen will end up throwing herself at Dawson, and Dawson rejects her (he finally found his brain).
-The last bit of important info I have to pass on is to watch James Van Der Beek on Regis and Kathy Lee this Tuesday (check you local listings). I personally don't really like the show (I like Regis, I just don't like the other one), but if James is on, I'll definately be watching.
Date of Scoop: 8/1/98
-James Van Der Beek will be on Regis and Kathie Lee on Tuesday, August 11th.
Date of scoop: 7/24/1998

-Katie Holmes's movie, "Disturbing Behivior"opens on Wednesday.
-Shooting for the new season of "Dawson's Creek" starts next week.
