Project Management
· Geologic lead on Coalinga project with growth to $35 million annual profit supported by increased oil production and decreased steam injection. Coordinated process initiatives for lateral expansion of drive areas, heat management, well management and infill drilling program.
· Team leader for assembling prospect inventory involving formalized risk assessment, expected reserves, and economic ranking. Captured $5 million funding with acceptable return and reserves gain.
· Supervisor for geologic work group (5-12) implementing steam drive expansions and extension drilling in San Joaquin and Sacramento basins. Member on leadership team coordinating budget, project planning, process improvement, and personnel development.
Capital Planning and Economic Evaluation· Collaborated in the preparation, compilation and implementation of annual Business Plans over 10 year period. Ranked asset team proposals into an aggregate $120 million capital plan. Input on re-prioritization with change in funding.
· Supplied reserve and economic valuation in property trade valued at $10 million. With transfer, coordinated property integration and optimization.
Technology
· Identified and matured application of 3D/4D seismic for imaging steam processing. Integrated analysis into the field management plan with significant gains in production.
· Championed horizontal drilling application, improving on past practice and optimizing placement. Resulted in 50% improvement in production.
· Improved development of Earth Models on Gocad by a process applying neural network analysis for modeling reservoir properties reducing construction time from months to days.
· Developed process for injection pattern optimization applying streamline simulation for allocation factors and automated pattern efficiency analysis. Constructed DSS pattern groups for deployment to the field.
· Member on action team successful obtaining DOE grant. Served as client representative to consultant and wrote succinct abstract for proposal and project relevance sections.
