LANGUAGE MONTH Each year, these four departments will choose one month to carry out their own activities. That means, during that particular month, the respective department will organize their own opening cememony, interesting quizzes and competitions for the students, and the closing ceremony. Let's take a look at one of the departments - the Language Department. As you known already, there are 3 subject panels in the Language Department: Malay, English and Arabic. So, during Language Month, the three subject panels will carry out their own competitions. For example, the Malay Language Panel normally will have Drama competition, Poem Recitation Competition and Debates. English Language Panel will normally have Spelling Bees, Parliamentary-style Debates, Choral Speaking and Scavenger Hunt. The Arabic Panel, meanwhile, will have their own version of Poem Recitation Competition, Drama and Arabic Quiz. In a day, 3 competitions will be going on simultaneously at separate avenues. In order to boost the morale of the participants, the three subject panels will sit together and plan which forms will be the audience for each of the competition. So, on the day of the competitions, all three avenues have their own enthusiastic audience. |
