Friends of Mine

KELLY What can you say about a girl like Kelly? Only that she is the most unintentionally funny person I know. Whether she realises it or not, she has been the source of so much laughter over the years, and she sure gives my stomach a workout...who knows, I may end up getting a six-pack out of her :)

ADAM A mate from way back, Adam and I were both present on the horrific 'Day of the Sandpit and the Spade', and have shared the horror of this event ever since. We still can't look at a sandpit or a plastic spade without reverting to a fetal position, whimpering, with thumb in mouth.

JULIA A high-ranking LBD member, Julia also makes time for other organisations such as AAA, whilst simultaneously training to build up a resistance to the effects of cigarettes and alcohol...I think she must be immune, by now.

MEGAN Megs...Olive...Megatron. Never short of nicknames, Megan is a little pocket-rocket full of energy and attitude. If she likes you, you'll be her friend for life...but if she doesn't, then you'd better watch out for her mean right-hook.

TORI BROWN This little acrobat is fun, athletic, flexible (in both terms of the word), creative, and just a cool chick to hang out with. I've had so many conversations (convo's) with Tori over the years, that I feel I know her better than a lot of other people, though I don't see her as much anymore :(

BEN P an awesome guy who never takes anything seriously, and always prepared to make a bet...he'll even drop his pants and run around the house naked, if the price is right.

BRIGID Our little cherub. Rosy cheeks, sweet disposition, eternally nice...and an awesome girl all-round (though she does have a penchant for magnets :)

LAUREN The Loz...the long-lost daughter of the family in 'The Castle'. Blunt, honest, hilarious, Lauren tells it like it is, and never fails to entertain us, especially when she farts on pillows, and blames it on the dog :)

ANTHONY Anthony is a smartass who got accepted into Digital Media (don't ask what UAI he got- you can't count that high)...he's a founding member of the LBD Foundation, and has helped to eliminate my once-burning desire for sport and physical activity. And I'm very grateful.

REBECCA The Reb, Roo Mayo, Pennis (with an accent)- Rebecca has many aliases, plenty of ears for listening to your probs, too much patience, and an overwhelming (bordering on embarassing) love for aussie drama tv. shows :)

CLAIRE A Shrink in the making, Claire has more brainpower than a geek on 'Who Wants to be a Millionaire?', but without any of the geek-ness. I love her sarcastic humour, and her ability to throw big words nonchalantly into conversation, leaving us all stumped and waiting for an explanation.

KIRSTEN My Light-Generating Paranormal, Kirst is a dancer-extraordinaire, and a future Mrs. Parker. A great neighbour and friend, she has admirable skills in changement jumps and port-de-bra positions, but doesn't like it when triplets say 'You're what?' 'What?' 'Fiance`?'.

MATT I have no doubt that this guy will make a name for himself in the entertainment business, whether in performance or production, because he is a natural. He also provided us with the funniest night of our lives- yr. 11 camp, 3 am. Enough said.

KARYN Karyn is Brigid's main 'cherub' rival, and though she is a quietly thoughtful character, it is possible that she knows us just as well as we know ourselves, from her observations. Plus she gave me rides home from work...thanks Kaz!

VIVIAN Athlete Extraordinaire, Viv is a bundle full of energy, and talented in far too many sports. She also provided the setting for the funnest waterfight in the history of the world- the last day of year 12. And we will always be grateful for the memories of pneumonia that occurred after that day.

ANDREW Mr Music Man- Andrew knows everything about the music business, and actually produced a hit-selling single- 'Fever'- by the band 'Zoe and the Teatowels' (formerly 'Mirken'), who are currently taking a break from the hectic music business. The remix version of 'Fever' is eagerly anticipated.

HAYLEE Watch this face, because this girl will be a star. Ambition is just as vital to success as talent, and this little lady has both. She is also one of the nicest chicks I know, even if she is from Melbourne (just kidding :)

JEFF This dude topped the grade in the HSC, and has enough brainpower to divide up and give to each one of us. He is also-along with Viv and Adam- part of the dying breed of sport players in our group, though his interest in cricket is something that cannot be stamped out, given that we are live in cricket-mad-Australia.

PAUL Like Kelly, Paul is an unintentially funny person, someone who's crazy antics (like breaking light bulbs on New Year's Day) and smart-ass comments- though normal behaviour for him- provide us with some well-needed laughter.

YLANA Also known as Yolonda, Elandra, and Ylan (among other things), this girl gives new meaning to the term 'wacky'. She is an eccentric personality, and her talent with linguistics and foreign languages never fails to either make us laugh, or make us pay her out. But we love her anyway, and not just because she drives us around.

DARIUS he was the first person to speak to me at uni, and I'm glad he did, otherwise I probably still wouldn't be talking :)

ERIN I worked with her for a while, and enjoyed watching her arriving half-stoned and hung-over from the night before...she is a hilarious chick, and loves a party.

JERRY An immensely talented gymnast whom I trained with for four years. He is also one of the funniest guys I know, and I especially love his 'Gwen Spidle' impersonation. He is also a good gymnastics-video-swapping buddy.

VIRG or Fudge, as he is more fondly known, is a buddy from both Work and Uni, and is the kind of person that you wished you had been friends with all your life. He is one in a million, a 'diamond in the rough', and I'm sorry for all the time that was wasted before I met him (even if he does tell me to 'chud up' from time to time :)
