She is captured and is held in the space where esthar personnel is guarding. Limit Break: Ice Strike Since Edea doesn't use weapon, she uses magic as her limit break. She will turn her magic into an ice and shoot it at her opponent. You see this limit break in action in the FMV after you beat Edea in disc 1. History Edea and Cid, and married couple who used to live a happy life but when Edea, Cid, and Norg decided to manage and Garden of their own, things got out of hand. Norg, who wanted more money on Garden which was no use. Edea, controlled by the ultimate sorceress, Ultimecia. And Cid, went on managing Garden while searching for his love one, Edea. Edea's name is suppose to Matron. She is the one who took care of Squall, Quistis, Zell, and Seifer. They used to live in a house south of Balamb Garden where they would have a lot of fun playing with each other. But now, Edea has been possessed by other one of her kind.
