The Notables is a choral group and vocal troupe that started at Hughes Aircraft Company performing musical shows with themes ranging from holiday favorites to sacred classical pieces to Broadway shows.   The picture above is from a show entitled "Hooray for Hollywood", June 30, 2000, at the Armstrong Theater in Torrance.

  • Melba Toast was named for Dame Nellie Melba, the Australian soprano.  Learn more

  • There have been at least 38 productions of  Les Misérables  in over 28 countries, and Les Misérables has been translated into at least 18 languages, and over 31 cast recordings have been made. 

  • The Notables started out as an industrial choir, a club at the Hughes Aircraft Company in El Segundo, California.  Learn more.
