Vampires are creatures that were once Carpathians that lost their souls to the darkness and became the demon within. They either gave up their souls for power, the rush one gets from a kill namely because it’s the only emotion they have left or they simply gave up in despair of ever finding their lifemates. Either way, once a Carpathian becomes Vampire, he then becomes truly and wholly evil and there is no turning back. He must then be hunted down and destroyed because the vampire’s very nature could expose the Carpathians to the outside world.

Vampires are evil, vile creatures whose bodies start decaying the moment they turn. To avoid either their victims or Carpathians from ever seeing their true appearance, Vampires will often cast the power of illusion by looking young and beautiful in order to lure their victims in. However Carpathians can and do have the ability to ‘see’ these creatures for what they truly are. Vile, evil, disgusting and therefore must be destroyed.

Vampires love to pray on both humans and Carpathians alike. They like to bring about the death and destruction of others, including other vampires just for the pure pleasure of it. Ancient Vampires are notorious for using lesser vampires to further their own ends. They have no qualms in sacrificing these lesser or newly turned vampires if it proves fruitful for them in the end. Vampires also like to corrupt humans for their own evil purposes and they love to kill just for the rush a newly fresh kill gives them.

They are known for creating minions which could be anything from ghouls, decaying creatures to plants and trees and they can mentally control their victims. They have the ability to fold space and time and can appear at any place at any time. Vampires often take many forms of animals as well as mist, fog or vapor. They pretty much have the same abilities as Carpathians, meaning an ancient Vampire should never be taken lightly as a matter of fact, no vampire should ever be taken lightly.

They can sense the presence of humans and/or Carpathians whenever they are near and vice versa. No matter the outcome, the Vampire’s main objective besides killing is to secure either a Carpathian or a special kind of human female known as true psychics for themselves. Even though they are doomed, vampires still cling to the hope that a Carpathian or psychic woman, once found can give them back their souls. They are unable to comprehend that such a feat becomes impossible the moment they turn. It is also not unknown for them to turn humans into vampires and as a matter of fact it has happen a lot more than you think.

In conclusion Vampires just like Carpathians grow with age and abilities.  The older the vampire gets, the more powerful it becomes and those that were ancient when they turn are the instantly powerful and their levels are based off their age.

And example would be the Dark Twins, Lucian and Gabriel. Being 2000 years old, they are the most powerful and deadliest Carpathians alive. However should one of them turn vampire only the other can destroy him because that very same power that made them both legends can now be used as an arsenal for evil and therefore would make them unstoppable.

Any Carpathian that acquired any amount of knowledge, power and abilities when they were Carpathian can now use those same abilities at their beck and call, the moment they turn Vampire. Which is why they have to be hunted down and destroyed at all costs. Either way, if you should ever come across a vampire, you better hope there is a Carpathian hunter nearby otherwise, your a goner and in most cases, you will never know it until it‘s too late.
